The Doorn Kruis Karoo Farm Retreat is located in the heart of Little Karoo, nested in the middle of majestic mountain ranges and adjacent to the Anysberg Game Reserve. Ladismith, Laingsberg, Touwsrivier and Montagu are the nearby towns, with the mother city, Cape Town, only 2 hours away.

The farms, Kruis Rivier and Doornkloof, are sheep, Lecerne and Olive farms and also market its own exclusive brand of bottled olives, extra virgin olive oil and assorted home made jams - Doorn-Kruis. The rest of the unspoilt 2,500 ha farm is conserced, natural fynbos and veld and the habitat of animal species endemic to the Karoo. It includes Springbok, Oryx, Eland, Black Backed Jackal, Black Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Steenbok, the endaged Riverine Rabbit and more. There are approximately 180 bird species, including Ostrich. Differen types of reptiles, a variety of Tortoise species, snakes and lizards including the dangerous Cape Cobra and Puff Adder.

The D oorn Kruis Farm Retreat's accommodation consists of 3 renovated farm houses. These fully equipped (electricity, refrigerator, two -plate stove, cutlery, crockery) and fully furnished (including linen) self catering units accommodate 4 to 10 people
